National Institute of Speech and Hearing – Indian Sign language Teacher

The National Institute of Speech and Hearing  is an autonomous organisation registered as a society by the Social Justice Department , Government of Kerala in 1997 with its location at Thiruvananthapuram.

The institute focusses on the individuals with disabilities. It deals with the identification, intervention, rehabilitation and education of individuals with disabilities and has made significant contributions in improving the quality of lives of these individuals by improving their communication skills.

The Institute  invites application from qualified , committed and experienced deaf and hard of hearing candidates to work as Indian Sign language Teacher. The details of the notification are as follows.

Name of the Post : Indian Sign language Teacher

Age Limit : Not above 45 years as on 1/1/2021

No of Vacancies : 2

Qualification

  • Deaf and hard of hearing candidates with a degree in any subject
  • “C” level certificate issued by RCI in Indian Sign Language or equivalent
  • Valid RCI registration
  • Those having experience in teaching Indian Sign Language will be given preference
